12/12/2008: Hallie's Birthday!

7:30am: On our way across the street to Banner Gateway for the induction of our little angel.

The soon to be mom! Epidurals are awesome! The entire induction was going great and I was progressing really fast... until the pushing began. She would not come out. The doctor was literally about to wheel me away for a C-section after 3 hours and 15 min of pushing because they thought that my hips were too narrow. Finally on the last push out she came, doing the splits, head and foot out at the same time. No wonder it took so long!

Hallie Pearl Hutchison

7lbs. 3oz.

20.1 in. long

Perfect :)

They ended up using the vacuum to suck little Hallie out, which my doctor said he NEVER did on diabetic babies. Throughout the last hour of pushing, he sat with his head down, his hands crossed, and eyes closed in between pushes. He is LDS and the best doctor ever, and I knew he was praying about what to do. I was so frustrated and praying super hard that I wouldn't have to get a C-section. At the last minute he decided to use the vacuum anyways and it all worked out perfectly. Thank heavens for answered prayers and inspired doctors.

I was so sad that I couldn't hold Hallie right away. I was bleeding way too much and they had to check out her foot and leg after her fancy entrance. It was so scary. Eric and I had to hold my stomach instead of our baby while they tried to stop my bleeding. Thankfully everything worked out and it ended up being a great faith building experience for both of us. Eric was the best coach ever. He stayed by my side through it all.

We were lucky enough to catch Hallie smiling.
Isn't she precious! She's the most beautiful baby I have ever seen! I feel so blessed! I never thought being a mother would be so amazing!

We're Still Alive!

We got rid of the Internet for now and that's why I haven't posted in a while. So here is a quick update of what's been going on in our lives these past couple of months:
- We got the final ultra sound of our beautiful baby. She was so cute, sucking her thumb and everything:)
- We made a quick trip to the grand canyon.
- Mine and Eric's family threw me the baby shower of a century!
- I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
- Eric started a new job.

We only have pics of the Grand Canyon trip, but baby shower pic should be here soon!

Breathtaking views!

The most exciting thing in our lives is the anticipation of our baby, only 3 weeks and 2 days away!!!

If she doesn't decide to come earlier, I am being induced on the Dec 12th, one week early because I have gestational diabetes. I can't wait to meet the baby, and to be able to eat yummy food again!!!! I also will be glad when my fingers aren't sore anymore due to all the finger pricking I have to do. But it's all worth it for our little miracle that will be here before we know it. There's so much to to look forward to these next couple of weeks. We will let everyone know when she arrives!

For the Love of the Spine

Eric has been trying to figure out what to do with his life for the past few months. He loves real estate but feels like something is missing. After lots of prayers, the answer finally came, and he is going to be a chiropractor. I was so surprised when he told me, but we are both really excited to have a goal and a plan. So a minimum of 5 more years of school ahead and a move to a new state for at least 4 of them will be in our future, something never before anticipated. I just keep being reminded, you never know what the Lord has in store!

Thanks but no thanks!

Thank you to everyone who tried to help me figure out the whole baby bedding thing, but I realized I asked your opinion too early. I am going to keep brain storming and I will post pictures of my final ones for you to see, so no need to vote unless you want to. I am just not sold on any of these. So wish me luck as I let the wheels keep on turning in my crazy head.

The Baby Bedding Blues

Eric's mom and I are making the baby bedding for our little December visitor. It's up to me to design it, but I have never done this before and I am getting so frustrated. So here are a few of my ideas, of course they will look a little different in person, but you get the idea. Please give me your honest opinion and let me know which ones you like or if I need to start over.

#1 This is just a blanket.
Vote on a blanket and a crib set that you like together. Thanks!

#2 Another blanket#3 The pink around the edges on all of these is satin.
It just looks weird as a picture.#4 #5

Putting the "F U" back in fun!!

So the wife asked me (threatened me) if I would write a little somethin' on our blog. Three weeks ago we made the trek to Thatcher for a long over do slumber party. First of all I just want to post my record time of 1 hour and 52 minutes from Chandler to Thatcher. We were supposed to go camping on Mt Graham and pick apples and snuggle. But the rain gods weren't kind to us and we had to settle for a pajama party. I was gitty with boyish glee to be reunited with Lorin and Troy, my best brosephs. So I wasn't too sad to not get to snuggle on Mt. Graham. That night we went to Walmart and Brittany had one of her episodes. As we were waiting for Katy (Lorin's wife) a very strange, circus-like lady stood in front of us. I guess what happened was she, not knowing Britt was watching, full out picked her wedgie. Which sent Brittany into a scary laughing fit. So much so that she commanded the attention of all who were in the check out lines and the front of the store. Fueled by the ladies embarrassing look and Troy's laughter, she got even Louder. That's when I had to step in and I jump kicked her in her diaphragm to quiet her. But that just made the sound go up an octave. I was about to go for the windpipe when she just decided to go in the bathroom to get control over herself. Sadly this happens a lot and its too bad we don't have a picture of the lady.

Well the next day we went to some creek/stream to play. We brought some floaties with us and it was pretty fun. Brittany got stuck going through the rapids and lost a flip flop, but luckily there was a handsome and brave man that saved her flop and helped her safely down the rapids. But whats a fun day at the river without a flat tire!? An hour and a half later and we were on our way, thanks independent suspension for letting us change a tire for an hour and a half!

The only thing that would of made the trip better, would be if the rest of my buddies could have come too. So eat your hearts out Houston and Amron.

PS enjoy the picks

PPS no I do not shave my chest, Brittany's prayers get answered over mine!!

Oh BOY... It's a GIRL!

We went to the doctor today and found out that our precious little miracle is a beautiful baby girl. The doctor was only 95% sure of her sex because she had the umbilical cord between her legs. She was either too modest or a prankster like her dad. But I say 95% is close enough to start buying stuff. We are so excited and can hardly wait until she is here.

www.brittanyshaircare.blogspot.com

Well, I decided to make a blog to advertise me doing hair at home thanks to an awesome friend's idea. The title of this post is the link. Thanks to all of my family and friends who support me. If you want, you could add this link to your site. That's how I'll know who my real friends are... :)
We find out the sex of our baby on Monday, so check back to discover if it's a Hutch-i-SON or Hutch-i-DAUGHTER :)

A pregnant graduate with a work-a-holic hubby...

A lot has happened since I last posted. The most exciting thing is that we are... pregnant! I am 14 weeks along and feeling fat as ever. We get to find out the sex of the baby July 14th, one day before my birthday. The perfect present. I also graduated from beauty school. It's been difficult to decide what to do with my life now. I want to work, but it is hard to figure out the timing with the baby coming in December. (December 19th is the due date!) So I decided to just stick at home and do hair here. Let me know if you want me to do anything for you!!! Eric is working like crazy, and even bought his first house. Sadly, he is going to rent or sell it and it's not for us, but hopefully that will be coming soon. Here are some stellar pictures of these recent events!

How we told Eric's family the news! That's Eric's baby bro. Clark, and his shirt says "I'm gonna be an uncle!"
