Here we go again

I just found out today that I have gestational diabetes again with this pregnancy.  The plus: it will keep me skinny.  The minus: it's the end of yummy food for me and the start of a lot of sore fingers.  I am glad to know why I have felt so crummy, but man I am craving some sour-cream glazed doughnuts and a pizza right now and will have to wait 5 months to fulfill it!  What will I do????

What happen's once your toddler starts forming sentences???

Hallie is so funny!  She says the cutest things... like today, I was telling her that mommy has a baby in her belly.  Then she comes up to my stomach and says "Hi baby.  You okay?"  I guess it is weird for a 19 month old to grasp what in the world a baby would be doing inside of me :)

She said a prayer for the first time tonight.  Every other time I have tried to teach her, she just stares at me with her little arms folded waiting for me to just say it.  Not tonight, she did it.  It was beyond precious and one of God's tender mercies to me, a mom who is striving for and hoping her precious daughter is gaining her own small and sweet testimony of truth.

She also loves to use the phrases Eric and I say to her on us...

"Hello, baby."

"You okay, baby?"

"Night night princess."

 "Nice toss."

"Umm... okay."  (She never says yes.  It is always "Okay.")

Today Eric took Hallie into the men's restroom at church to change her diaper.  Someone was in there with an upset stomach.  As soon as they let it out, Hallie kept pointing to their stall and saying, "Poo-poo in the potty.  Eww.  Oh, poo-poo.  Toilet?"   Eric and the man causing the explosion were both in hysteria because she wouldn't keep quiet about it.  HAHA!  She is such a riot.  I love that little girl.

Our Summer...

...has been an adventure.  I have taken a time out from everyday life to spend time with my new best friends, exhaustion and nausea.  That's right...

We are expecting BABY #2!!!!!

He or she is due January 21st and I am about 12 weeks along.  It was another huge shock and unexpected miracle for Eric and I, who were once told "You may not be able to have children, and if you can, it will be very hard."  Well, that doctor was off his rocker, and we have proof!

9 week ultra sound

Despite being pretty sick with the pregnancy (way sicker than with Hallie), we have been able to do a lot of fun things this summer.  Here are some pictures to document our good times:

...this happened...

...he grew into a really cute little guy...

...sported a killer bowl cut for many years...

...and became the most amazing man, husband, and father.

Thank heavens for me he did.
Happy Birthday to the love of my life!

To celebrate we are going out on a kid-free date for the first time in months and I can't wait!  The day is dragging on and on.  Is it 5:30 yet???

Rat-a-tat-tat

Dear Mr. Rodant who lives in my storage shed,

Thanks for leaving all of your little brown pellets and urine stains scattered throughout our shed.  They are the perfect accent to our Christmas stockings, baby toys, and camping gear.  Just please explain to me why oh why did you do this to my baby carrier?

To show my appreciation I left some really yummy green food in there for you.  Please eat as much as you want.

Sincerely,

Brittany

*Can you believe this?  I am so mad at that rat/mouse/chipmunk or whatever ruined my baby carrier.  When I went out to grab it  for the Relief Society Olympics, I found this, plus tons of other scratches and pellets in the carrier.  I am so grossed out and upset.  It completely demolished Eric's Christmas stocking too.  Thank heavens it didn't ruin more.  We had to clean the whole unit out to get rid of all of it's remains.  Just disgusting!

-F-A-M-I-L-Y-

Family!  Oh how I miss living close to my family!  It makes me sad when I hear of my sisters going shopping, or my brother's lacrosse games, or celebrating birthdays all going on with out us.  A few weeks ago, we were blessed with a much needed visit from my mom and brother.  It was so great to see them!  While they were here, Hallie got EXTRA spoiled, Eric and RJ wrestled and played enough video games to last a life time, we went to the Coca Cola Factory (way cool by the way), and we all ate way more than we should have.

Soon after, it was time to talk about bunnies, decorate eggs, and celebrate hope with EASTER!  We had a great Easter weekend, truly enriching thanks to General Conference.  For those who don't know what General Conference is, it is a meeting held twice yearly where our Prophet and many leaders from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourage us, warn us, and nourish our hearts.  This year it happened to fall on Easter, very fitting.  Click here for more info on the Mormon church and our dear Prophet.

Here are a few pictures of our Easter festivities!

We spent the weekend at the Mitchell's house.  Hallie and Dax are bestfriends/worst enemies.  Whenever they are apart, all I here is "Dat? Dat? Dat?" over and over again, but the second they start playing, Hallie turns into a hitting, toy stealing little monster.  Not cool Hal, not cool.

We boiled tons of eggs for decorating.  I accidentally grabbed the one carton of non-hard-boiled eggs, turning our hunt from this:

To a yard full of this:

Easter morning, he came!!!  That stinkin bunny left Hallie her favorite snack, Lil' Crunchies.  I never buy these things, and every time I do, I remember why...

She busted into these things right away screaming, "Crunchies, Crunchies, Crunchies" and seriously inhaled almost this entire thing before I realized it.  Then, she threw a fit at every meal for her precious Crunchies.  She refused to eat anything else in the house until those blasted Crunchies were gone.  Why did I buy them?  Why did I decide to stock up on them?  I hope you enjoyed those Cruchies Hallie cause they were your last... until I forget again.  So, Gerber, if you are looking for an adorable Lil' Crunchie monster who believes in and is addicted to your product,  I have just the girl for you.

Dear Abby,

The filmstrip icon that is supposed to be on my tool bar to add videos directly to my blog is gone.  How am I supposed to add videos on here of my daughter's break dancing debut without going through YouTube?  Blogger has been no help so I am turning to you.  Help anyone????  Please!?!?!

Sincerely,
