Stuck on the middle

So, it's pretty much official...  baby's name will be Saige.  But now we are hung up on the middle name.  We want it to mean something.  Eric is completely set on Saige Brittany, naming her after me.  He is extremely determined to convince me, but I just feel a little weird naming her my exact name.  My middle name is my mom's name, Angella.  I would LOVE to use it, but it just doesn't flow to me.  We have thought of Saige Ann (Angella shortened) but to me it feels dull.  I think Siage Brianne (a combo of my first and middle name) flows, sounds good and is a good compromise, but Eric doesn't like it.  So you see, this is why I am starting a baby naming poll to your right... you tell me which one of all of the following family names you think Saige will like the best.  Thanks for your help everyone!!!

PS  We are open for any other suggestions too, even if it isn't a family name.  So feel free to leave a comment with something you like :)

Vaccines...

 http://www.infowars.net/articles/may2008/300508vaccines.htm

Okay, I know this is a touchy subject.  It seems I can't go ANYWHERE without mom's starting the vaccination debate.  When Hallie was born Eric and I were pretty torn about the whole "should we vaccinate" dilemma.  Truthfully, I didn't do the research to make an educated decision either way.  So, on her first Dr's visit, when the Dr left to send in the nurse, Eric and I said a prayer that she would be perfect and healthy no matter what.  Thankfully, that prayer has been answered, and since that day I have been trying to collect information on vaccinations.  Whatever decision you make with your children regarding vaccinations, I think it is SO SO SO important to be informed.  That way you can be completely confident in your choice.  Since doing the research on both sides, we have now decided not to vaccinate our children.  I want to share with all you mom's out there what I know and wish someone would have shared with me before I had Hallie.  The truth is, it is really, really easy to come across pro-vaccine information.  The other side is a little more tricky.  Why would anyone ever choose not to vaccinate???  The answers will shock you and, if anything, at least make you stop calling all of us who choose not to vaccinate CRAZIES!  Here are some GREAT credible resources that I have found that you can look into:

www.novaccine.com-  This website gives you tons of priceless information on vaccine ingredients, what specific vaccines are, the risks involved, etc.  Like I said, whatever decision you should make, KNOWING THESE FACTS IS IMPORTANT!

www.cogforlife.com-  One of the most upsetting things we learned about at a vaccine seminar Eric and I attended recently was that many vaccines are no longer being created from dead animal tissue but from aborted fetus's bought by our government with our tax $$$ from abortion clinics.  This website provides you with information on that subject, as well as what you can do to help stop this horrible practice.

www.mercola.com-  This website was created by Dr. Mercola with all sorts of fascinating articles from around the world on many medical issues, including vaccines, complied together for your information.

"Shots in the Dark"- I stole this info from a friends blog (thanks Krystle):  This is a documentary and you can find it on You Tube for FREE just by typing that into the title line. It's over an hour and FULL of information to help you see what is in the vaccines that is so harmful, and REAL life stories of people who have been harmed or had their lives taken by vaccines.

Also, some great books are "What the Pharmaceutical Companies Don't Want You to Know About Vaccines" by Dr. Todd Elsner DC and "Childhood Vaccinations" by Dr. Lauren Feder.

I hope no one thinks I am judging them for choosing to vaccinate their children.  It is a really difficult and personal choice that no one can make except you.  So, find out the facts so you can make the choice that works for your family.

The Name Game

Naming a baby is tough stuff!  I want our baby's name to be something that both Eric and I are totally crazy about and that fit's our little daughter perfectly.  With Hallie it was easy to agree, but this time around, not so much.  I get frustrated every time we talk about names because I LOVE certain names and Eric LOVES certain names, but none of our fav's overlap.

Despite our differences, we decided on Saige about 2 months ago.  It will probably be her name, but some days I wake up thinking "Do I really like it?"  Maybe it's all the hormones working their magic in me right now but I am disappointed that I don't absolutely love it 100% of the time.  I feel like I am settling a bit.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, Eric is sold on Saige.  He loves it, but for now, we have decided to scratch deciding on her name for certain and we are compiling a list of names that we both like.  I don't know that her name will change because nothing else feels right and almost every name I throw out there Eric says "That's cute for our next daughter."  I-YI-I!!!  Anyways, feel free to throw any names my direction that you love and your hubby has vetoed.  Maybe we can add it to our list :)

Sugar and spice

Her adorable little body profile.

Her facial profile

Her precious little face.  Can you find her eyes, nose, mouth, and chin?

Her tiny feet.

That's right...  I said her.  Baby #2 is another perfect, precious, wonderful baby girl!!!  We couldn't be more surprised or happy.  I was 99% sure this one was a boy, and I still can't believe it.  But I am not disappointed.  I am totally 100% thrilled.

It is so incredible to watch the ultrasound and know that I have a tiny little person growing inside of me.  Stop and think about it.  It is such a miracle!   Her every move is amazing and only testifies further that there truly is a God and that he loves his children.  I am so excited to meet this little bundle of pink!

Just for me

God knows me.  Today, He inspired the messages given at church just for me.  Okay, we all know they weren't actually just for me, but to me it really felt that way.

In our young woman lesson, our teacher (thanks Leah) shared a story about one of her friends in high school.  I will call her Jane.  Jane was a beautiful girl, extremely talented dancer and singer, and had everything going for her.  One day while they were talking, Jane said, "Well, if I ever got pregnant, I would have to get an abortion.  I wouldn't have any other choice.  I am a singer and dancer, Leah.  That's what I do.  That's why I am here."  We went on to talk about how we, as woman are one of God's greatest creations, that our bodies are sacred, and that our mission on earth is motherhood.  No matter what else we are or any other talent we are given, nothing is more honoring or glorifying or important as our divine role of motherhood.

“The greatest mission of woman is to give life, earth-life, through honorable marriage, to the waiting spirits, our Father’s spirit children who anxiously desire to come to dwell here in this mortal state. All the honor and glory that can come to men and women … is but a dim thing whose luster shall fade in comparison to the high honor, the eternal glory, the ever-enduring happiness that shall come to the woman who fulfils the first great duty and mission that devolves upon her to become the mother of the sons and daughters of God” -Melvin J. Ballard.

I also loved this quote that someone shared in Sacrament meeting:

"When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home and of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies." -E.T. Sullivan

Before I found out I was pregnant with this baby, I had an extremely powerful spiritual experience where I knew there was a precious spirit up in heaven waiting and wanting to come to our family.  I began a long process of denial and debate with God about how there is no way we can have another baby right now.  We still have 4 years of school.  We will have student loans up the wa-zoo.  I have to loose 5 pounds first.  How can I take care of 2 babies?  And the list continues.  Well, God's will over-rode mine.  We got pregnant, and I was scared.  Instead of turning to Him, I shut down and stressed out, but today, I feel refreshed and reminded of this sacred little baby.  Holy, precious, and sent to earth to preform a great work.  I am the vessel God trusts to make that happen.  Today refocused me, and I know now, as I always have but chose to forget, that through Him, I can and want to take this on.

Here we go again

I just found out today that I have gestational diabetes again with this pregnancy.  The plus: it will keep me skinny.  The minus: it's the end of yummy food for me and the start of a lot of sore fingers.  I am glad to know why I have felt so crummy, but man I am craving some sour-cream glazed doughnuts and a pizza right now and will have to wait 5 months to fulfill it!  What will I do????
